“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” -Mark Twain

Day 23: 22 August 2010
I was on my computer and outside I saw the moon reflected in the pool so I took a picture of it. It's a little grainy, but oh well. Today I went to my cousin, Jeff's ward for his homecoming speech. He's a really good speaker, and it was a good talk-he talked about the myths and stories of Mexico, many of them from ancient times. We were supposed to go to their house after for lunch/dinner, but it got cancelled. We only stayed for sacrament meeting then came home and ate.
Day 22: 21 August 2010
Today I went to dinner with mom, dad, Stina, Brad, and grandma. We went to Macaroni Grill, which I don't particularly like, but it beats Tahoe Joe's any day (which is where we were going to go prior). I ordered the grilled chicken and was surprised and pleased by the presentation. It wasn't half bad, although I didn't even touch the pile of soggy vegetables underneath. Afterwards we went to Target because mom wanted to get the new Enrique Iglesias CD.
Day 21: 20 August 2010
Today I woke up and found this outside! We haven't had clouds in a while, but it was nice to have them back. It was nice and cool all day. Me and Mike had a chocolate chip pancake breakfast. For lunch I made homemade mac n cheese, and Stina, Mike, and I ate that while watching the newest Psych episode. We were interrupted during it when my parents came home from Costco and we had to go help unload the car.
Day 20: 19 August 2010
I don't even really remember taking a picture today, but my camera tells me other wise. So....here's Miley! She likes to play ball, eat, and pick up rocks in the backyard.
Day 19: 18 August 2010
Today I babysat for the first time since I've been home. The family I babysat for all last off-track moved like 7 minutes away (they used to be two minutes away). I only had Lincoln and Jackson and it was only for two hours, but it was still fun. I love those boys-they are wild, but sweet. This is the view of the lake off of their upstairs balcony.
Day 18: 17 August 2010
Today Miley had an ice cream treat and after she was finished she carried her bowl around the whole house, and then later started to tear is apart. Sometimes I do not understand my puppies.
Day 17: 19 August 2010
I've been working a lot on my sister's 16th birthday party coming up, and these are the invitations I made today. It was originally supposed to be a surprise for my sister, but that didn't last. We're taking her and her friends to a cabin more up north. She actually hated the idea at first, but just wait until she sees everything.
Day 16: 15 August 2010
Although this picture was taken on the 15th, I am blogging on the 22nd, and my parents' anniversary was on the 11th....this sign is still up. I've seen a lot of these types of banners on party planning blogs. I decided to try and make one for myself and it looks awesome.

Day 13: 12 August 2010
Today was Warped Tour! One of my favorite days of the year. This was my favorite picture of the day featuring David of Breathe Carolina. The bands I saw were Anti-Flag, Alesana, Mayday Parade, Never Shout Never, Anarbor, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobodys Business, Pierce the Veil, and Breathe Carolina. It was so hot. I think someone said it got up to 112, but there was a little breeze so it felt cooler than other years. It was not crowded at all this year; it was weird. I think it's because they got rid of the San Francisco date, and so everyone went to Mountain View which was during summer and on a Saturday. Willy Wonka was sponsoring and they gave out so much free candy. I got to meet Anti-Flag and they were so nice! Unexpected from guys who hate the government and are all for anarchy, but amazingly nice. They all shook my hand, said thank, and took a picture-unusual for bands. I also got to meet Alesana and that was alright. It was at the Peta tent, and they didn't allow pictures, but I did get to shake Jeremy's hand (the drummer). I also got to grab David and Kyle's hand of Breathe Carolina, what a productive day haha. On the way home we stopped at In n Out; we were all starving because no one ate all day. I was so tired and gross after, but it's always worth it!
Day 12: 11 August 2010
Today I also forgot to take a picture before too late, but I got my new Toms in the mail!!! And I love them, and they are oh so comfortable. Today was also my parents 26th anniversary. They went out to dinner and while they were gone I made a quite professional looking banner, some cupcakes, and a flower arrangement.
Day 11: 10 August 2010
So today, I forgot to take a picture so I thought I might as well take a picture of Twike because he needs to be remembered, right? Of course. So...this is Twike. He's a triceratops as well as a practicing doctor. I got him a few years back mostly because one of his arms is attached to his body and one isn't.
Day 10: 9 August 2010
Today my cousin, Jeff, got home from his mission from Mexico City, Mexico. My mom, my brother, and I went down to the airport to meet him with the rest of our extended family, but we could not find them anywhere! We were waiting at the baggage claim where his dad told us it would be when really we were supposed to be at the bottom of the escalator. We missed the initial welcoming, but did get to see him after.
Day 9: 8 August 2010
Today I was working on cleaning the office and trying to get rid of some of my things, and I saw the sunset out the window. We get pretty good sunsets out here, and I just liked the way the trees were silhouetted. I got the office cleaned up pretty good, but I still have a long way to go.

Day 8: 7 August 2010
Today I just had to upload two pictures. I went on a picnic with some friends up at Coloma. It's so pretty up there with all the trees, but very dry! We played football, frisbee, and went down to the water. It was so nice! My friends though the water was cold but it felt so good to me, probably because I've been used to Idaho water, and ever since that float down the freezing canal, nothing has even come close to that kind of cold. This inspired us to start a group on facebook for all our friends home for summer to get together and plan activites such as floating the American River and rafting! We drove home with the windows down and music up! Music included Mayday Parade and Mika. We were going to get ICEEs at our Chevron, but they didn't have any so we ran over to Nugget to get some Calypsos. Yum!
Day 7: 6 August 2010
Today I went school shopping with my little brother and my dad (also at PacSun). I picked out basically everything he bought--the shirts, hat, and backpack. I must be good at what I do. After we went to pick up dinner for everyone at Costa Vida. Their sweet pork is better than Cafe Rios. Believe it! Also found a quote from a blog today that I like: "The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me."-Ayn Rand Don't let you stop yourself from accomplishing whatever it is you desire to achieve.
Day 6: 5 August 2010
I have started playing EA Active on the Wii in hopes of getting in shape. I have started the 30-day challenge many times, but have never finished. This time I will! Today I also went back-to-school shopping with my mom and sister--she decided she wants a new style for sophomore year. And where did we go? The usual. PacSun.
Day 5: 4 August 2010
Today I went to Costco with my family and my little brother and I found these huge 53 inch teddy bears! I know I didn't take the picture, but does it still count? Also, if Jamie happens to read this...see how tan I've gotten? Check the wrist against the rest of me. I don't think I would be the whitest one in the apartment anymore.

Day 4: 3 August 2010
Today I had to go take the van over to my parents at the pool supply store so we could bring home our new basketball hoop for the pool. Yesterday, my little brother decided to hang on ours, and it was kind of rusted and the whole thing just collapsed and fell in on him. While I was there my little brother spotted this truck, and so I took a picture because I thought it was funny; it looks like someone just crunched a semi down to itty bitty Lego size. What else did I do today? Started an entrepreneur online class, went to Target, played lots of Castle Crashers with my siblings, and went to $1 scoop night at Baskin Robbins.
Day 3: 2 August 2010
Today I was working out in the front yard trimming down trees, pulling weeds, etc., and I found this snake skin. I'm just glad it wasn't a real snake! If it was it would have probably been a rattlesnake; it was like 8 inches long. I got a lot done in the yard, then freaked out some more about picking a major. Later my family and I went out to dinner with my uncle and grandma, and there I made the decision to stay a business management major and minor in communications. Hopefully that'll work out...
Day 2: 1 August 2010
So today I actually forgot to take a picture until late at night. Seeing as there was a lack of light outside, and being tired, I decided to flip on the light and take a picture of my jewelry box. Today I had church and usually, Sunday is the only day I wear jewelry. It was a pretty uneventful day except for the fact that I was freaking out trying to decide what to do with my life.
